[edit] Episode overview
Dr. Cox's suspension puts his future at the hospital in doubt. Elliot discovers her patient whose jaw is wired shut, Dr. Greenburg, is a therapist. She tries to consult with him on various problems, although he cannot speak. He makes her feel better, but then she feels more depressed when he leaves. Turk tells her it's okay to talk to a therapist, that sometimes it's helpful to talk to a neutral party, so she goes to see the therapist that was her patient. Turk spends the night at Carla's but her mother catches him and freaks out. She is reluctant to spend the night at Turk's because her mother "is frail", but she finally agrees. That night, her mother breaks her leg. Dr. Cox talks to her, convincing her that her mother would have broke her leg anyway (it happened in the shower), so she should be allowed to live her own life. J.D. is given a self-absorbed board member to care for, who, after he has to put his foot down against her dismissive whims, is turned on enough to sleep with him. He finds out later that she's actually Dr. Cox's ex-wife, Jordan. He also resolves to halt Dr. Cox's suspension, with the help of Jordan, and so he is brought back.
[edit] Trivia
- The episode title is taken from the common Americanism "My bad", which is a phrase one uses to own up to a mistake, similar to "mea culpa."
- This episode features actual footage from the wedding of Bill Lawrence and Christa Miller. Images of Christa were shown (and Bill from afar) as if it were the wedding of Perry and Jordan.
- There are several "catgirls" in this episode, first appearing around the 45 second mark.
- The woman who is shown as Carla's mother is a different woman than who's picture is shown throughout the series.
[edit] Featured music
- "Me and Mrs. Jones" originally by Billy Paul, performed by Donald Faison
- "Good Life" by Francis Dunnery
