ISO 3166-2:MX is an ISO standard which defines geocodes: it is the subset of ISO 3166-2 which applies to Mexico.

It covers 1 federal district and 31 states. The first part is the ISO 3166-1 code MX for Mexico, the second part is three-digit-alphabetic.
