Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, born April 13, 1955, is the current King or Kabaka of Buganda, a kingdom in modern Uganda. Crowned to be the 37th Kabaka in 1993 after the executive of Yoweri Museveni reinstated the position of Kabaka in a new constitution. Since restoration, the Kabaka's position is as Ssabataka, or head of the clans and of the cultural kingdom of Buganda, rather than one of political and military leadership.
Muwenda Mutebi studied law at Magdalene College, Cambridge.
