Muthyala Muggu

Muthyala Muggu was a yet another highly successful movie from the writer-director duo of Ramana and Bapu whose talent and mettle was well established with their earlier movies such as Saakshi. The movie also received critical acclaim.

The movie revolves around the nuances of a husband and wife. The movie introduced Sangeetha and Rao Gopal Rao, both of whom shot to instant success with the release of the movie. After this movie, Rao Gopal Rao would go on to have a scintillating career, acting in numerous movies, playing various characters and garnering acclaim from all quarters.

The movie follows an estranged couple with troubles fomented upon them by Rao Gopal Rao who has an eye on the couple's property. How the wife, on whom a false accusation of disloyalty has been charged, regains her husband's confidence forms the bulk of the movie. The movie has some interesting dialogue between the husband, (Sridhar) and the wife (Sangeetha).More than that the chemistry between the lead before and after the break up is interesting.

Rao Gopal Rao became famous for his canny dialogue delivery and was for a large part of his career shadowed by his performance in this movie. His name almost instantaneously reminds one of his famous dialogues in the movie.
