Mutants is a fast paced adventure text game. Players are prone to becoming addicted quite quickly. A player has a choice of character, and may choose to play as one of five classes of characters available. Players may play with only one character, or more, increasing the stats as the player progresses.

There are over 15,000 rooms, 500 items, 500 monster types, and up to 9999 roaming monsters with their own personalities and the ability to cast a range of up to 20 different spells. Players have the ability to set up trading posts (or steal from others).and are in lots of flimes
