[edit] "blocked" - not really

Hi! Someone was being a jerk by going around and leaving messages for people telling them that they were blocked, when they weren't really. I removed the message with the admin "rollback" feature, which unfortunately leaves a generic edit summary. I don't know why he picked on you particularly. (Maybe it was someone that you have had a conflict with on some article?) But, nothing to worry about. The page was redirected and merged a while ago, because he simply isn't notable enough to have his own page. THe only reason he's famous is the band he's in, which isn't a ground-breaking band, or indeed a 'supergroup'. HawkerTyphoon 00:18, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

No problem - it's not a dumb question! Take a look at the article Sprang. (I picked it because it's short.) Click on "edit this page." Towards the bottom, you will see the text [[Category:Textiles]]. To add a category to any article, just add [[Category:Whatever]] near the bottom. You can see whether a category exists, and what articles are already in it, by entering "Category:Whatever" in the "search" box on the left side of the screen.

Sorry i didn't reply, a soldiers life etc... I've removed the page again; but if it's re-made (no doubt it will be), add the information to the main article, then replace the page with a 'Redirect' (WP:Redirect wil tell you how to do this, I think!) [edit] WikiProject Rock music invitation

Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.
