Talk:Music of El Salvador
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
El salvador has many types of music. Cumbia is one of them. I grew up dancing cumbia it was already in my salvadorian blood. To every party my cousins and I went to, cumbia was present. Cumbia is originally from Colombia but salvadorians put their own taste and flavor to it. There is also Reggue wich is originally from Jamaica, Reggueton from Puerto Rico wich was of course first created in Panama, Bachata and Merengue from Dominican Republic, Salsa from Cuba, and most recently Zamba has been a very popular dance that salvadorians dance this days. Zamba is from Brazil by the way. Salvadorians from the capital, San Salvador, love to break dance to old skool hip hop and dance hall music so if your on your way to the block party of the year, make sure you take a salvadorian with you.
