[edit] Notability

Mims is an upcoming rapper who had a minor hit single a few years ago with a track called "I Did You Wrong." His debut album (which is rumored to feature said track) is set to release this year. The single "This Is Why I'm Hot" has received widespread radio play and is popular in dance clubs. It has so far charted 59th on the Billboard Hot 100, which effectively fulfills the notability requirement for the album.--NPswimdude500 02:45, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

My main concern here is the primary notability requirement-it looks like only one source is cited, and it's pretty thin and questionable. Might there be any more reliable secondary sources? Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 05:01, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
I removed the box questioning the article's notability. There are two sources cited and an external link which discusses the album further. That is more than enough to solidify the article's notability for the meantime.--NPswimdude500 18:32, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm really not seeing it here-PRWeb, a blog, and a sales site are not reliable sources (the sales site's piece is long, but anonymous, so it can't be reliable, PRWeb just reprints press releases so anything on it is trivial, and the other is a blog). I've had a look myself, but I just can't find a thing in reliable sources. Maybe there's something offline (some type of hip-hop magazine) that's mentioned this? XXL Magazine is a hip-hop magazine. XXLMag.com is their website. It's not a blog, the entry in question was posted by one of XXL's editors.--NPswimdude500 19:53, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
You do look to be right there, I went ahead and removed given that. Seraphimblade Talk to me Please review me! 20:02, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
