Muslim TV Ahmadiyya

Muslim TV Ahmadiyya is the global satellite TV network run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. This is considered to be the very first global Ahmadi Islamic tv channel. Muslim TV Ahmadiyya was initiated in the early 1990s. Initially it was named AMP or Ahmadiyya Muslim Presentation. The name was afterwards changed to Muslim Television Ahmadiyya or MTA.
The purpose of the channel was primarily to broadcast the sermons of the then Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih IV. It broadcasts a variety of programmes in various global languages for the benefit of the international Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Programmes include news, sermons, documentaries and even Arabic language learning for children. Programmes are broadcast mainly in Urdu, but there are several programmes in other languages such as English, Arabic, Bengali, Indonesian, French, Swahili and Hausa. Not only this, but MTA is on 24/7 commercial-free with programs for all ages.
Muslim TV Ahmadiyya launched a second channel- MTA 2 in 2004, which has similar programming, and in March 2007 a third MTA channel was launched primarily for audiences in the Middle East Region.
