Musikhochschule Lübeck

The Musikhochschule Lübeck in Lübeck, Germany, is the only College or university school of music in the northern most state Schleswig-Holstein. The school is housed in the World Heritage of the Brick Gothic old hanseatic city. The school was founded in 1973 but its tradition goes back to 1911. The Musikhochschule has approximately 500 students. The teaching staff includes Shmuel Ashkenasi, Sabine Meyer, James Tocco and others, current president is Inge-Susann Römhild.
The Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, an annual summer festival for classical music, is holding its masters courses in the Musikhochschule.
The school is member of the Baltic Association of Music Academies.
