Andhra Pradesh is a state of South India, known for classical dance of various kinds. Kuchipudi, a mixture of abhinaya and music, is the most unique kind of dance from the area. Perini, a special kind of shivataandavam (The dance of Shiva) also hails from this state. It had its origin as a warrior dance and almost always is performed by an all male group.
