Mushroom Records (Canada)

Mushroom Records was a recording label company based in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, founded by Shelly Siegel.

During the 1970s, Mushroom released several successful albums from artists such as Doucette, Heart and Chilliwack, but Siegel's sudden death due to aneurysm on 17 January 1979 led to the demise of the label.

Mushroom Studios, a Vancouver recording facility, is a separate operation from the record label. The studio began operations years before the formation of the label, and remains in business today. The studio did form a partnership with Mushroom Records during the label's existence. Many of the label's albums were recorded at the similarly-named studios.
