Museums and Galleries Commission

The Museums and Galleries Commission (MGC) was the main UK government body with responsibility of advising the government on policies concerning museums in the United Kingdom, with offices in Westminster, London. It was replaced by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) in April 2000.
