[edit] Synopsis
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
The Halliwell sisters must find a way to release all the muses which have been abducted by a warlock who is attempting to build an evil faction in the absence of the Source.
[edit] Book of Shadows
[edit] Allies
- Muses: invisible beings who use their hands to channel people's inspiration.
[edit] Enemies
- Devlin: a warlock who has the power of blinking, shapeshifting and touch of death. He stole the ring of inspiration to build an evil faction to take out the Charmed Ones in the absence of the Source.
[edit] Spells
- To Make A Muse Visible: Being of Creativity, show yourself now to me. Your light will shine upon our face, let our vision now embrace.
- To Vanquish Devlin: Evil is a fateful foe, but good does battle best. We witches will, with these words, waste this warlock's evil zest.
- To Find Melody: Being of Creativity, we call ourselves now to thee. Your light now darkened in a ring, shall feel the Power of Three we bring.
- To Make A Muse Invisible: Being of Creativity, hide yourself now from me. Your light that shines upon our face, from our vision now erase.
[edit] Artifacts
- Ring of Inspiration: A ring that has the power to capture and see muses. It was created by good magic to channel inspiration in great need.
[edit] Trivia
- This is a reference to the common saying "music to my ears", meaning when someone likes what they hear.
- This episode is known as The Sistership of the Ring in Australia.
- In this episode, Piper was able to freeze only innocents, leaving out warlocks, at will.
- We learnt in this episode, that warlocks are considered second class citizens in demonic society and they are forbidden to kill demons for their powers. We also learn that their eyes are sensitive toward flashing or bright lights, which make them unable to "blink".
- This is the first time we see Paige use her powers to redirect an evil creature's own power against them.
- The Ring of Inspiration, that Devlin has looks like the one worn by Cupid (and Drazi) in the season 2 episode "Heartbreak City".
- At the club, Paige asks Leo whether or not muses were real and clearly shows that she knew what they were; back at the house, she had to read off the Book of Shadows to find out what they were.
[edit] International Titles
- French: L'union fait la force (Unity is strength)
- German: Der Ring der Musen (The ring of the muses)
