[edit] Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh

There is a slight error with this picture. The de facto independent republic of Nagorno-Karabakh is not Shiite Muslim, it is in fact not Muslim at all, but Christian. The green should be removed from that part. - Fedayee 06:02, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

The map was created by the CIA back in 1995, so I am sure it is more than a little out of date. Unfortunately, it is also the newest free map we have on Islamic distribution. --Kralizec! (talk) 03:56, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Europe

If this map ever does get re-drawn on a template, it might be made a little better by representing the muslim minorities in western Europe. Most of India is pale green, to represent the Sunni minority there (minority in the sense that the majority is Hindu), and there are little green dots in eastern China to represent the Sunni communities there, but absolutely nothing to show the sizable minorities in the UK, France, Spain, Gemany, Austria, etc.
