Murray Cook (born June 30, 1960 in Cowra, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian vocalist, songwriter and guitarist. He is best known as a member of the children's band The Wiggles.

Cook finished his secondary schooling in the southern suburbs of Sydney in the 1980s. Afterwards he was a clerk in the Australian Taxation Office and played bass in a Sydney-based rock band Finger Guns.

As a member of the Wiggles Cook wears a red shirt and serves as an instrumentalist and backup vocalist. He occasionally sings lead vocals and employs falsetto techniques in some Wiggles songs. His schtick is an obsession with playing the guitar.

Cook is a "full honorary member" of the Sydney-based band Bang Shang a Lang[1] and plays with them when he is in Sydney. Members of Bang Shang a Lang jokingly tend to downplay Cook's role in The Wiggles by referring to him as "the member of The Band That Shall Not Be Named"[citation needed].

Cook's family has a background in law enforcement. His father, Russell, was a longserving member of the NSW Police Service who rose to become an assistant commissioner, and his sister Fiona was also a police officer.

Cook is married with two children.[1]
