Muro de Alcoy

Muro del Alcoy or Muro de l'Alcoi (in Catalan), or simply Muro, is a town located in the comarca of Comtat, in the province of Alicante, Spain, lying at the foot of the Sierra de Mariola. Muro del Alcoy has an area of 30.5 km2 and, according to the 2002 census, a total population of 7,532 inhabitants. The economy of Muro del Alcoy is based on textile industry, manufacture of plastic products and furniture and agriculture (olives and almonds).
