Murmur of the Heart (French: Le souffle au cœur) is a 1971 French motion picture by Louis Malle that tells a controversial coming of age story about a 15-year-old boy who is growing up in bourgeois surroundings in Dijon, France. The various adventures of the boy lead to an incestuous relationship with his mother. Ferreux was himself fifteen at the time of filming. He is seen fully nude at the spa and in a bath scene but not during any of the sex scenes. Charlie Parker's music is used prominently in the film.
