Murlan J. Murphy

Murlan J. Murphy is the inventor of Murphy's Oil Soap. A graduate of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Murphy donated 50 million dollars to the school in the early 90's. The school's Murphy Field House was named after him.
It was actually Mr. Murphy's Great Grandfather who "invented" Murphy's Oil Soap. Currently Mr. Murphy has new product on the market called "Merlin's Laundry Booster". The Murphy's also built St. Mary's Chapel in the early 2000's on the campus of Saint Ignatius High School.
