Murdo Fraser (born 5 September 1965, Inverness) is the deputy leader (since 2005) of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party in the Scottish Parliament, and a member of the party's Shadow Cabinet. He has been a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Mid Scotland and Fife region since 2001.

He studied law at the University of Aberdeen and before becoming an MSP he worked as a solicitor. Although an unsuccessful candidate for Tayside North at the 1999 Election he became an MSP in 2001 after the resignation of Nick Johnston, as next name on the Tory Mid Scotland and Fife list.

He was re-elected in 2003.
