Murayama, Yamagata

Murayama (村山市; -shi, lit. village mountain) is a city located in Yamagata, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 28,879 and the density of 146.72 persons per km². The total area is 196.83 km².

The city was founded on November 1, 1954.
