Muraenosaurus ('moray eel lizard') is an extinct genus of sauropterygian reptile belonging to the plesiosaur order. It lived in Late Jurassic Europe, and grew to 20 feet (6 m) long. Half of its length was its neck, which consisted of 44 vertebrae. Its skull was small.
