Mupen64 (MUlti Platform Emulator for the N64) is a free software Nintendo 64 emulator designed to be cross-platform and is licensed under the GPL. It was originally developed on and for GNU/Linux but the emulator has already been ported successfully to Windows and Mac OS X. The program can be easily ported on all operating systems supported by the SDL library.

Many users of Mupen64 have complained that game emulation is very slow, though it gets a bit faster with every new version.
