[edit] Ayn Rand
You recently changed the lead in Ayn Rand to call her Jewish as opposed to Russian. Technically, both are correct, but she did not identify as Jewish, whereas she freely admitted to being born in Russia. For this reason, there appears to be a consensus among editors not to call her Jewish, at least not up top. Of course, the article does mention that her ethnic background is Jewish, though in a less prominant area. I could just revert your change and it's unlikely anyone would counter-revert me. However, I feel it's more appropriate to simply request that you revert it yourself. If you disagree with my logic, the alternate course would be to come to the Talk page and justify your change. Thank you. Al 16:40, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
