Municipal executive board

The municipal executive board (kommunstyrelse) is the executive branch of the local government in Sweden. The executive board is appointed by the legislative municipal council (kommunfullmäktige).
The chairman of the executive board is one of the (sometimes the only) municipal commissioner (kommunalråd) and the mayor of the municipality.
