Munich Conference on Security Policy

The Munich Conference on Security Policy (German Münchner Konferenz für Sicherheitspolitik) is an annual conference on international policy, held in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, Germany.
The 43rd Munich Conference was held from 9 February 2007 till 11 February 2007. The motto of the 2007 conference was "Globale Krisen - Globale Verantwortung" / "Global Crises - Global Responsibilities".
Ministers, members of parliament, high-ranking representatives of the armed forces, scientists and representatives of the media were invited to the discussion forum, which focused on foreign and security policy challenges in European and American relations. Each year, some 250 participants from 40 countries discuss in depth their views on the development of transatlantic relations as well as European and global security.
The conference was founded in 1962 by German publisher Ewald-Heinrich von Kleist-Schmenzin under the title Wehrkundetagung.
