Mundial S/A
Mundial S/A (BVSP: MNDL3 and MNDL4) is one of the oldest Brazilian manufacturing companies still around. With over 110 years of existence, it has virtually been part of every major step in Brazilian industrial revolution. With its roots in Caxias do Sul, a prominent industrial city located in the southernmost state of Brazil, Mundial S/A is actually the result of the merger of Eberle S/A and Zivi S/A, another traditional Bralian company which was founded in 1931. Combined, they are among the largest manufacturers of Beauty Care implements (scissors, nippers, files, tweezzers) and Apparel Fasteners (buttons, rivets, eyelets, etc)
Starting in 1896, Eberle begun producing a tin made oil lamp. Over time it evolved into the manufacturing of horseback riding gear, tableware, cutlery, motors and fasteners. After its merger with Zivi, then renamed Mundial S/A, the company begun to focus its operations on Beauty Implements and Fashion Apparel Fasteners.
Nowadys it is a publicly traded company with shares trading daily at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (BOVESPA).
