Mulholland Dam

The Mulholland Dam is a dam located in located in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California. It was named after the designer William Mulholland who was also responsible for the design of the aqueducts and reservoirs for Los Angeles including the St. Francis Dam. Completed in 1924, the dam holds 2.5 billion gallons of water. In 1928, after the St. Francis Dam collapse killing over 500 people, the Mulholland Dam was reinforced. The dam is part of the Hollywood Reservoir.
