Mukti Deeksha
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mukti Deeksha, in Hindu philosophy, is said to be a transfer of divine energy given by a Guru to a disciple. The purpose of deeksha is to intiate a neurobiological change so that the receiver can experience reality without the interference of the mind.
An organization called Oneness University in South India, founded by Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma teaches Deeksha as a process by which divine energy can be transmitted. They explain that this will lead to individual awakening and eventually to a collective enlightenment. At present the movement has educated thousands of Deeksha givers in India and the western world and millions of followers in India. See http://deeksha.com for more details.
