Muhyi al-Din al-Maghribi

'Muhyi al-Din al-Maghribi (cca.1220—cca.1283) (also transliterated as Muhyi l'din al-Maghribi, Muhiyd-Din Al-Maghribi, Mohi al-Din al-Maghribi, or al-Magribi) was an Arab astronomer born in Spain, worked in Damascus, Syria (hence his name: al-Maghribi, "from Maghreb"), and eventually in the Maragha observatory in Maragha, Persian Empire, where he worked under the guidance of Nasir al-Din Tusi.

Muhyi al-Din is most known for his works in trigonometry, Book on the theorem of Menelaus, Treatise on the calculation of sines.

He is also known for his commentaries on classic Greek mathematical works, in particular, his commentary about Book XV of Elements about measurements of the regular polyhedra.
