Muhammad Rafi Usmani

Muhammad Rafi Usmani (Arabic: محمد رفيع عثماني) is the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He is also the current President of Darul 'Uloom Karachi. He is the son of the late Mufti Muhammad Shafi, the founder of Darul 'Uloom Karachi. He is a recognized jurist (faqih), hadith scholar (muhaddith), and Qur'anic exegete. He has authored a large number of books in Urdu, as well as some notable treatises in Arabic. He has taught the Sahih of Imam Muslim over 30 times over the years at Darul Uloom Karachi, and is noted for his sharp mind, quick wit, and excellence of character.
He is the brother of the also notable Islamic scholar, Muhammad Taqi Usmani. Rafi Usmani is also a member of the Jamiat ul-Ulama USA.
