MUH~
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
From the popular program "Akiba limousine" in 2003, the triple chibiko, originator cosplay idol band called MUH~ was formed. Derived from the initials of the members, MUH~ (Mori-Usami-Harada) tours around Japan singing their interpretations of hit anime theme songs. Lead by Mori Yurika, the band performs in cosplay attires such as maid costumes, pajamas, school uniforms, casual "genki" wears, etc.
Singing is the main activity of the group, whether it be their interpretations of famous anime theme songs, songs requested by fans through the radio, or their very own original songs that they want to share with everybody. To date, the group has released 2 albums, Vitamin MUH(ビタミン☆MUH~)(2005) and Maamaamaa(まぁまぁまぁ)(2003). The group has also released a single DVD, MUH~★ぞくっ (2005). Other promotions such as calendars and picture books of the group are also being considered as of the moment.
The band members also have their own careers outside of the group, appearing in their own picture book collections, DVDs, casting in commercials, dramas, and even in movies.
A similarly named band by the name The MUH is sometimes confused with MUH~. The MUH lasted for three years, and hailed from central Illinois. The acronym stands for "Make Us Holy" and is often connected with 2 Timothy 2:21 from the Bible. The group consisted of: -Andrew Costerisan (lead vocals, guitar) -Zach Vernon (drums, percussion) -Ward Schweitzer (guitar, vocals) -Matt Higgins (bass, piano, vocals). The MUH released the "Tastes Like Chicken EP" in 2002, "Wannabe" full album in 2003, and a farewell album "Another Million Miles" in 2005. Costerisan (known by most friends simply as "Cos") continues to write, record, and occasionally perform under the name dEbToR. He released "Dives and Climbs EP" in 2006, and is currently finishing up two projects, "Anticipation" and "Simple Subtle Sweet." "Dives and Climbs EP" is available for free on the dEbToR band myspace. More information and music on dEbToR can be found at their blogspot or purevolume sites.

The members of the band were chosen after winning as grand champions of the TV show 秋葉な連中 (akiba party/group/people). They then did the anime song cover for the TV program 秋葉☆リムジン (akiba limousine), in which they were established as a cosplay idol unit.
