MuchOnDemand

MuchOnDemand (also MOD) is an hour-long per broadcast viewer interactive television program aired on MuchMusic and Citytv in Canada, hosted by various MuchMusic VJs.
The show airs live Monday through Friday at 5pm. It broadcasts from the CHUM-City Building on Queen Street West in Toronto. The Best of MuchOnDemand airs on Sunday. This live show first aired in 2002, with hosts Rick Campanelli and Jennifer Hollett. New VJ Amanda Walsh later replaced Jennifer Hollett. In 2004 Sarah Taylor and Devon Soltendieck would also host a number of episodes. Later in 2004, new VJs Matte Babel and Leah Miller began hosting nearly every episode. Other VJs host the show once in a while. In 2006, new VJ Tim Deegan began co-hosting regularly. The show is still airing from the MuchMusic studios.
The show also has a news section which used to be done by Hannah Sung, but Hannah Sung left MuchMusic recently, and was replaced by Hannah Simone. Devon Soltendieck has filled in for either Sung or Simone on several occasions. They report about what is new in the entertainment section such as what some artists or groups have done the past day or week.
On MOD, viewers are given the chance to request videos through phone, email, and on occasion, Live via Webcam. Each episode has a "VOTE-O-MATIC". A "Vote-O-Matic" is a voting meter of three videos chosen by fans. The three videos are usually a theme, such as "Fall Out Boy videos", or "videos that start with a particular letter". The "Vote-O-Matic" usually goes on for at least 20 minutes. By the time the specific VJ hosts stop the "Vote-O-Matic' the video with the highest percentage of votes is played. Two "VOTE-O-MATIC"s are done everyday, but on few occasions, some of the shows only have one "Vote-O-Matic", and viewers can vote online.
In 2005, new features were included on MOD. "Blog Blab" is a look inside the internet celeb blogs. "Quote of the Day" is a quote featured daily by a celebrity, which the announcer usually has a tendency to make fun of. The "Much Poll", which VJ Sarah Taylor calls "Poll-Dancing", asked a question or asks for an opinion, and viewers vote for their favourite answer. At the end of the show, the winning answer is announced.
In 2006, the "Much Quiz" was added. Viewers take a quiz to answer questions like "Are you a shop-a-holic?", or "Do you think with your head, or your heart?". The Quiz has four questions, which appear on the screen before each commercial break. Viewers can either text their answer in and receive results after the show, or they can do it with a pen and paper. Different answers are worth different amounts of points. How many points an answer is worth is announced after each commercial break. At the end, the total is added up and the results depend on the score. The Much Quiz is done every Thursday.
The show also has celebrity guests, from actors to artists, and even athletes. Celebs who have dropped by MOD include: Lloyd Banks, Chris Bosh, Damon Allen, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Josh Lucas, Avril Lavigne, Tricia Helfer, Jesse Metcalfe, Rihanna, Nick Lachey, J. J.
