Mt. Olive Church of God

Mt. Olive Church of God is a Pentecostal Church of God in Cleveland, TN. The church's primary ministry is "Operation Kindness," a ministry devoted to showing people God's love through acts of kindness. Mt. Olive is also known as "A Church to Come Home To." It has been recognized as "one of the fastest growing churches in the denomination."[1]

The senior pastor of Mt. Olive is Rev. Gary W. Sears, who has served the church since 1990. He has also served on the denomination's Council of Eighteen as well as several other positions in the denomination.

In July of 2005, Everlife performed at Mt. Olive's city-wide Fourth of July celebration, and the Media Department produced a music video for the band from that performance. Two months after the video was completed, the band was signed to Disney Records, likely as a result of that video.
[edit] LivingH2o Student Ministries
Mt. Olive has a student ministry named LivingH2o Student Ministries. Lh2o is pastored by Steve Norsworthy. Lh2o is the parent ministry of a ministerial drama team named Sharath. Lh2o often hosts outreaches, either stand-alone or partnered with the church. In 2006, Sharath won first place in Teen Talent, Group Human Video and Multimedia Video categories. Sharath traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana in July to compete internationally with the Human Video.
