Ms. Melodie (real name Ramona Parker born in Brooklyn, New York) is a rap artist and actress. Married to rapper KRS-One 1988 to 1992 (divorced) In 1988 while recording her debut album, she appeared in the film I'm Gonna Git You Sucka starring Keenen Ivory Wayans. Her debut album Diva was released in 1989 on the Jive Records label, the single "Wake Up, Wake Up" written by Ms. Melodie reached the top twenty of the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart.

A music video for the single "Live on Stage" was a hit on video stations.
