Hello, name's MS123. I live southwestern Ontario. I think that's it? No there's more. Although I read alot of wikipedia articles, I tend to stick to editing political articles. I have a huge interest in Canadian Politics, specifically Canadian political history. I have done alot of work in federal and provincial legislatures and election pages, although most of it is done offline. Usually I log in just to upload pictures. I have done alot of work in the Yukon Politics, infact, I have created every yukon election page including election 2006.

Politically I consider myself an oldschool socialist, following the policies of the former CCF. My hero is Tommy Douglas. I think that's it? Pretty Sure? Yah, thats it.

Wait I have a quote: "If you are just you are stupid, and if you are wise you are wicked; there is no alternative." - Carneades

  • Meg: Excuse me, Mayor West?
  • Adam West: How do you know my language?

[edit] yukon election prediction 2006

Current prediction

Trendline polls

The following is a prediction, seat by seat, of the ridings of the next yukon election. As it is rather early to try and predict now, I have assumed that the current incumbants are running for re-election (except for Haakon Arntzen in Copperbelt). This will change after the election is called. These predictions haven't come without some thought. By looking at previous election results over the last ten years, riding by riding, and by looking at current opinion polls, I have made the following predictions. I am looking at these predictions objectively, and will show no favour to any specific candidate.

Feel free to offer opinions on my talk page.

Hmmm. Well....if anyone happens across trendlines, my predictions don't look so good. Of course I don't live there and have never been so I am looking at historical numbers. Looking at Whitehoarse West the NDP, my prediction, has 8%. It is somewhat premature to make a prediction for the NDP now and the Yukon may verywell win, but I'm just going to leave most of these alone until the election is called and a candidate is nominated. After all, its difficult to support an invisiable candidate. The support of a party seems to easily change too. At the beginning of the last election, the NDP and Liberals were tied in the lead. When the election came, the Yukon Party took the lead and the NDP fell to third behind the Liberals, so so much for polls.

I have added the Trendines prediction for the election to compare to mine. I must say, the whitehoarse seats surprise me. The northern areas of the city always go for the YP or the Liberals.

OCT

My latest updates are an attempt to incorporate the new polls into my prediction. I want to avoid simply conforming with polls. I am looking at where they are now, and where I see them ultimately going.

Because of two polls showing a wide lead in Porter creek North, I am changing to TCTC. I am making my final prediction for Copperbelt; it looks as if the Liberals will gain a seat. Although Whitehoarse West was once the political home to a former NDP premier, I forgot that the former riding was split with Copperbelt. There seems to be little reason for predicting a NDP win there, although there could be competition with the Liberals so I change WHW to TCTC.
