[edit] Plot summary

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The plot concerns Mrs. Todd, who is obsessed with finding shortcuts. While talking about this obsession and about how you can even bend absolute limits, she invites her 70-year-old friend Homer to take a ride with her. This drive takes them through a somewhat spooky non-existent motorway. Eventually, she discovers a shortcut that apparently takes her through an alternate dimension, but shaves valuable minutes off of her driving time. Homer realizes that Mrs. Todd appears younger and more wild each time he sees her, and in turn he feels and begins to look younger than he has in years.
