Mrs. Jay's Beer Garden was a popular, and legendary, bar in Asbury Park, NJ. The bar was the "original" The Stone Pony. However, in the 1960s, the bar was forced to close because of a waitress not wearing a top. The bar moved literally next door. It remained popular, drawing musical entertainment like Bruce Springsteen and Secret Syde. It closed in 1988. Today, it is an empty lot surrounded by a fence.
