thank you

Chantel Shafie

How can I believe this is actually you, Chantel? Is there a way to prove it isn't just an enraged fan that's masquerading as you? Mr.bonus 02:21, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

hey Mr.Bonus, read Kyo Kusanagi's discussion page. Can you do the job of correcting the errors in the main article with the information there? it will require rewriting a part of the article though. Hope you are willing to.

[edit] So Edmond came later huh?

Here's something from HnN regarding Honda's face paint. Apparently, he was into investigating Shadaloo due to sumos taking drugs during SF2 as well even before his 'investigate Shadaloo' storyline was conceived for SFA3.

Hidden at the surface with Honda......the petty rumor is secretly said- recently, in the sumo world incidents of unrest were frequently occuring.

With the training of Japanese wrestlers, the word is that things like fatigue result in sudden acts of rage. That degree in the manner of rage is rarely a terrible thing.

Investigating the factor's circumstance, sources of narcotics are restrained, for the sake of drug selling organizations making sure of a single man dispatched. That's right, that man is Honda, said to commence with face painting.

From successfully catching drug dealers, Honda heard of the drug selling organization's name "Shadoloo." However, Shadoloo's entity a complete mystery, investigations came to a standstill. At that time, Shadoloo's decision to hold a battle against the world was said to be in the ears of the news. With that was Honda's turn, his attending hand would gain from this...

At that time, the true colors fearfully exposed, it is said that Edmond Honda's name being of a racially mixed lineage, painting the face, the sober face was hidden. Then why with the face painting? That's the case it is said of the hushed life searching for Shadoloo and for them not to realize it, and with the higher sumo principles it is said to be a justice to broaden the world with its magnificent fighting moves, he became a street fighter.

As it is understood, Honda's facepaint is for his underway top-secret investigation (one sees what is seen then the true colors are understood of what is worn...).

Note this bit of story is from SF2. Note it states his name is of mixed racial lineage (wow, it actually has a purpose. Who the heck would've thought that?). Note that everything below the first paragraph is a translation of official text. Also note that as stated this has been around a lot longer than SFA3 has.

http://db.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/street_fighter_plot.txt <- Feel free to tell him too he doesn't know what he's talking about when it's used as a legitimate source here on wikipedia.

I'm moving the article back. Factual intact information > your likes and dislikes. Good day.--Kung Fu Man 02:11, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the FAQ doesn't hold up to scrutiny. You'd need to source the actual books it gets its information from. JuJube 02:28, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Since you feel the need to go on a rampage

Let me point out the following:

  • That discussion for mediation you keep citing is still going on.
  • You really should brush up on your capcom related notes again: while a last name might not mean too much in SF, for the Darkstalkers characters it actually relates them to their backstory and in most cases serves as their common name shown in text both in game and documentation such as manuals for the game. While some were good moves (B. B. Hood and Lilith, for example, given that Lilith's real name isn't Lilith Aensland and that's just something the fans tacked on due to her relation to Morrigan), the characters that do have a need to have their full names stated in their article names that you ended up tearing through are Morrigan, Demitri, Donovan, Victor, Jedah. As stated before, their full names are the most common. Storywise these characters also tend to be mentioned by either their first or last names in differening formats.
  • With that in mind be careful when you go tearing through the Samura Shodown sections, as I'll be quick to point out several characters in that series have their full names displayed prominently in various bits, notably the text declaring the winner of a match. While I'm no expert on this subject, Gaira Caffeine comes to mind. Anyway there you go.
  • Food for thought: since you're on a tear about names, you probably should consider the fact that Dan Hibiki's full name is the most common for him (and even shown in full for SvC Chaos too worth noting) especially because he tends to shout his full name out quite a bit. That one conflicts pretty badly with your theory on common names...unless you'd like to argue he was never "Dan Hibiki" all along.
  • Hopefully I've made my point.--Kung Fu Man 12:44, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Before you call someone a liar, you might check the manuals for the original Darkstalkers and Night Warriors games. You'll find the full names are given in both. But there's "no way that's possible", right? This makes the third time btw you've stated something as being impossible or untrue and been proven wrong by official sources. Please do further research from now on.--Kung Fu Man 00:49, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dan (Street Fighter)

  • Don't add that "right hands" nonsense again. 1. it's a POV statement, 2. it's a meaningless statement (anyone can beat anyone else in the "right hands"). JuJube 04:29, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
    • Well, as long as we are arguing, Dan is seldom the worst character in games he's in, but has never been higher than mid tier (Alpha 1). His main strength is his Gale Kick (and in Puzzle Fighter's case, high-damage drops). JuJube 18:13, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
      • Well, firstly, it's an opinion based on many, many different tournament players' observations, but since I'm not intending to put that in the article, it doesn't matter, does it? The "gameplay" section is based on facts, and it's a fact that Dan has poor range. JuJube 20:57, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Move Requests

I went ahead and fixed your move requests for Hong Yun-seong to Yun-seong and Seong Han Myeong to Han Myong. That being said, you may wish to provide better explanations as to why they should be moved. Most people coming from WP:RM are not going to have a clue as to which name is the "correct" name and your explanation of "Inconsistent. Plus the redirects are messed up" isn't overly descriptive. :) Happy editting. --Bobblehead 18:15, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Based on this discussion, you may wish to stop referring to the mediation cabal case and Talk:E. Honda as justification for moving articles as neither location actually supports your viewpoint at this time. It is always preferable to negotiate in good faith than it is to make unilateral moves that are controversial. --Bobblehead 00:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Korean edit war

I suggest looking over Wikipedia:Resolving disputes to see what you can do about it. Unfortunately, those methods take some time, which is why I never use them. You could ask an admin for assistance, but I doubt that will do much.

I agree with you, but I cannot muster the effort to argue with the guy endlessly. ' 19:02, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Civility

I put that template on your user page on 5 March 2007 when I blocked you for 24 hours for civility - I think you just did not notice the template on your User page until now. I know you saw the comment on your talk page because you specifically erased it.[1] I blocked you for calling another editor a "moron".[2] Your edit before that one, where you called Wikipedia a "pile of shit and a joke between [Universities]" was not helpful either.[3] Please stay away from the profanity and definitely refrain from personal attacks such as name-calling. Thanks. Johntex\talk 15:29, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] T. Hawk

  • There was an edit war over the heights earlier; different sources say different things, and it's very difficult to verify them all. The best compromise was to take them out. JuJube 00:24, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Body Blows

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Body Blows. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Although Body Blows might be a poor game, especially compared to similar games at the time, your edit was an extreme npov violation. You even wrote how much you hated it in the edit summary. Also the shot at Amiga users was in poor taste. If you have some sources for this information then go ahead and add it. Thanks --BillPP (talk|contribs) 13:36, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Informal mediation

Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Cases/2006-12-21_Street_Fighter_character_articles has been reopened by request. Please join in the discussion so we can finalize a compromise acceptable to all parties. Vassyana 22:26, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-12-21 Street Fighter character articles has been closed. When reopened, a clear strong consensus was displayed, with very few and limited objections to the consensus. Unanimous assent is not required for consensus. A supermajority supports the previous compromise and is unwilling to further accomodate the dissenting view. Therefore, I have closed the mediation accordingly. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, you may address them on my talk page. Vassyana 17:02, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Body Blows Edits taking in your views on the article

Hi, today I've spent some time editing Body Blows after your edits. I still believe your edit that I reverted was an npov violation, but I have taken notice of what your point was. I added sources for all reviews. I also added a review which summarises that Street Fighter 2 was better than Body Blows, to show that not all magazines believed it was the better game, and to make sure there's a seemingly less biased swing in the article. I actually agree with you that Body Blows is a terrible game when compared to SF2, I own them both for the Amiga. Looking back now the reviews and reception for Body Blows are pretty strange, but this is what happened and unless there's a reputable source commenting on the good reviews being strange then it cannot be in the article as it's the opinion of some editors. I have mentioned the similarities to SF2 in the main heading and found a source for the similar special moves. If you want, take a look at the article now to see if there's anything. Cheers. ●BillPP (talk|contribs) 23:39, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
