Mr. Quintron (David Robert Rolston), aka Quintron is a concert and nightclub organist who lives in New Orleans Louisiana's 9th ward. Quintron invented his own instrument, the Drum Buddy, a mechanically-rotating, five-oscillator, light-activated drum machine.

He normally plays the organ, situated atop the front end of a car. The car's license plate reads "QUINTRON."

Quintron is also known for his eccentric behavior, once attending a press interview in a wheelchair and claiming he fell off of a roller coaster.

He performs with his wife, musician and puppeteer, Miss Panacea Pussycat, co-founder of the 9th ward's now defunct Pussycat Caverns.

Born in Germany, he attended high school in St. Louis before moving to Chicago at the age of seventeen, where he created the club Milk of Burgundy. His website claims he left Chicago due to "[t]roubles with law".

His current club, the Spellcaster Lodge, was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina, but has now re-opened in September 2006 with a big party. Ironically, one of his songs (9th Ward Breakdown) predicted the human cost of the disaster with uncanny accuracy, especially considering it was written seven years earlier.

All of Quintron's records on Bulb were initially released on vinyl, in very small quantities, and are now very hard to find. They were re-issued in the Bulb Gold Re-issue series on CD and vinyl, but are now all out of print. Internal Feedback and The Amazing Spellcaster are still easy to find though, because they were the most pressed in the Bulb Gold Re-issue series. The First Two Records is the hardest Quintron record to come by, and features rare compilation tracks and guitar solos. The record is so rare infact, that Quintron himself barely knows anything about it, and has no idea what the tracklisting is.
