Mr. Nebula is a DC Comics supervillain. Created by Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis during their comedy Justice League period, he first appeared in Justice League of America #36 (1990), and was the star villain of Justice League Quarterly #2 (1991).
Mr. Nebula was created as a parody of Marvel Comics' giant planet-destroying menace Galactus (right down to his herald, the Scarlet Skier, who parodies Galactus' herald, the Silver Surfer). With his Terrain Modifiers, which can alter the shape, color or texture of any object, Mr. Nebula travels the cosmos in his Nebulamobile, redesigning entire worlds at whim using his unique "artistic" sensibilities. The only spot in the Milky Way safe from Nebula's interference is Las Vegas, Nevada - which has received his seal of approval!
Mister Nebula eventually returned in the Will Payton Starman series, issue 35, by Keith Giffen, Peter David, Jason Pearson and Bruce Patterson. He has not been seen since.
