[edit] Summary
A bullying shock jock named Max Hudson (Steven Weber) is on the air when his wife falls asleep with the gas fireplace on with their radio blaring on his station (99.9). The wife's sister insists that Hudson murdered her but he has an air tight alibi. The security program shows no doors or windows being opened until a security guard and gas man arrived. The only possible entrance was a ventilation window in which not even a dwarf could have fit through. Monk notices that a loafer is missing in the closet. He goes on air but Hudson taunts Monk and even taunts Trudy's death ("I'm real good with jigsaw puzzles", "At least my wife is buried in one piece") causing Monk to attack him. Monk later notices the neighbors tiny dog chewing on the missing loafer. The neighbor says that Hudson has been dog-sitting lately. Monk realizes that when the wife was asleep (sleeping pills were Hudson's suggestion), Hudson used the command "jiggle me timbers" over the air to command the dog (which he had been training while he was house-sitting) to turn on the gas and run out.
