Mr. Monk and the Blue Flu is the third story in a series of books based on the popular TV show Monk. Like the previous two books, the book is written from the point of view of Natalie, Monk's assistant.
The book features some small errors in grammar and continuity, and somewhat over-exaggerates Monk's fears (which is strange since the show itself exaggerates many OCD symptoms).
Mr. Monk learned that there is going to be a Blue Flu. Monk thinks it is a regular sickness and is horrified. When Captian Stottlemeyer and Disher joins the flu Monk becomes captian of the police force. Shortly he finds out that he will be working with ex-detectives and learns that each has there own problem. One thinks we will be abducted by alians at any second another is to old to do his job anyomre and the last wants to shoot everything. They all have assistants and Natalie wants to form a detective assistants club.
