Mr. Monk Makes a Friend is the eleventh episode from the fifth season of the television series Monk.

Mr. Monk is increasingly distracted by a new friend, played by Andy Richter. When it becomes apparent to all around him that the friend is having a detrimental effect on Monk's work, Monk refuses to acknowledge the fact, cherishing the experience of friendship. Richter's character is revealed to be the murderer of his girlfriend. Even after the revelation and his arrest, Mr. Monk still struggles to maintain some level of friendship with the man.
