[edit] Summary
Adrian is faced with a pesky nose bleed for anyone else, but for himself, it's a reason to get immediate medical attention. Natalie is forced to leave him to go on a lunch date, which terrifies Monk. A doctor attempts to fix the problem, and does so temporarily. Immediatly, Monk's nose begins to dribble blood again. Mr. Monk, terrified from hearing a lady say an acquaintance of hers had a cerebral hemorrhage, goes to get a second opinion. But what he finds is shocking: in his dire medical need, the doctor is dead. Monk does his sleuthing with a tissue up to his nose for almost the entire episode and is constantly worried about a tumor. The police are called in to investigate, and they have their eyes on a moody old man whose oxygen tank tag matches up to the other half found on the scene of the murder. But their suspicions switch to a Doctor Scott, who is hospitalized for heart problems, despite his good health, and acts rather suspicious. They then have the task of finding the evidence to prove which person committed the murder. Monk's life is gravely endangered at one point, and he is hospitalized (for an injury much more deadly than a nose bleed) in the ICU during the climax. Even more terrifying, is the fact that a tube is flowing with tetracycline, a medicine he is dangerously allergic to. Natalie realizes at the last moment that Monk is about to be poisoned, and removes the IV tube.
