Mr. Lippman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mr. Lippman is a fictional character from the sitcom Seinfeld. He is Elaine's boss when she works at Pendant Publishing. He is a fan of Cigar Store Indians and plans to publish Kramer's coffee-table book about coffee tables. However, Pendant Publishing goes under when Lippman, having a cold and having forgotten his handkerchief in Elaine's office, declines to shake hands (and thus spread germs) with a Japanese businessman whose company had been planning to purchase Pendant Publishing. Later, Lippman opens up a muffin shop called Top of the Muffin to You! after Elaine gave him the idea to only sell the tops of muffins.
Mr. Lippman was originally portrayed by Harris Shore in the episode "The Library", but was replaced by Richard Fancy in subsequent episodes.
