Mr. Blue Sky is a song by the rock group Electric Light Orchestra
The song forms the fourth and last track on the "Concerto for a Rainy Day" suite on side three of the original two LP set. Reflecting Jeff Lynne's love of hidden messages, the coda to the song contains the barely discernible, heavily-vocoded words, "Please turn me over". This message would make sense since on the 12" version of the album, it was the last song on the front side of the 2nd disc.
It was the second single to be taken from the album Out of the Blue and released thus in January 1978. The single reached number 6 in the UK number 35 in the USA. In 2006, The Delgados released a cover of the song on their Peel Sessions compilation.

- Heard in the trailers for the films Adaptation and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, it was included on the latter film's soundtrack album despite not actually appearing in the film itself.
- After being featured in Love & Monsters, an episode of the British science-fiction series Doctor Who, the song broke into the top 40 of the iTunes Music Store's Top 100 Songs, a daily chart listings the most popular downloads.
- It was used in the now-defunct NBC drama LAX.
- The film version of The Magic Roundabout (known in North America as Doogal) used it in a flashback/dream sequence.
- It is part of the soundtrack for the Atari video game Driver:Parallel Lines, featuring prominently in the 1970s section of the game.
