- Is an actual conceptual design commissioned for the United States Army. However, other than the video game and pictures on Crye's website, all information on whether it's actually moved into prototype/testing stage is classified.
What version of the game is this article reffering to when it states that the MR-C is the default weapon? If I recall, the PC version has the SCAR-L as the default assault rifle.
I know someone who has family working in the US military's weapon research fields, and the MR-C is, of course, not a true-to-life absolute design idea for the Army's next rifle. However, a Modular Rifle-Caseless (as the name MR-C stands for) is the frontrunner design for the next rifle, because as you all know the XM8 was cancelled last year. So yes, there is a high chance that by 2011, you will see a MR-C type rifle in the hands of the Army's infantryman.
