[edit] Houston, Texas
Before making substantive changes to an article, please seek a consensus. Also, remember that information added to an article must be verifiable. When adding new text, especially controversial new text, it is good form to include a footnote reference to a reliable source. This not only helps to avoid extensive discussion and bickering, it also improves the entire article in a general sense. --Evb-wiki 21:13, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

- Well I don't have time for that, all I know is that an article about a city should represent the people of the city.--Mphifer254 21:16, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Downtown
Were you downtown at the "Main Event" during the Super Bowl? What a party. I was hoping that this would happen every weekend. I'm a native Houstonian and never saw anything like it, except maybe for the "Rendezvous Houston" concert. Downtown has changed for the better (I think) since the light rail started. A new urban park is being built between Houston Center and the convention center. I also hear that a new multi-block shopping/retail/residential center is being built. - Oh, well I don't get down there much but when I do it always seems somewhat empty in some parts. --68.201.118.165 00:28, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I used to go downtown maybe 1-2 times a years before light rail. I hear it gets packed on Friday and Saturday nights. Here is the new development I mentioned. [1] Postoak 00:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- It looks alright. I think I saw the report on this project on the news. The only other major project I've heard about is that knew skyscraper that is supposed to be built in Greenway Plaza.--68.201.118.165 01:01, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- This will also transform downtown [2]. I haven't heard about a new tower in Greenway Plaza. Maybe this is going where the old HISD building was demolished? Apartments and condo are being built everywhere in that area. Postoak 01:24, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think it's even been proposed yet. I just saw a design model a while back on a developer's website. I'll try to find the link.--68.201.118.165 01:28, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
