U.S. Route 29 is a major north-south route in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It travels 248 miles from the Key Bridge in Washington, D.C. to the North Carolina state line at the city of Danville. US 29 roughly bisects Virginia into eastern and western halves, and along with Interstates 81 and 85/95, provides a major north-south route through the state. For much of its length, US 29 in Virginia is known as the Seminole Trail. Through Northern Virginia, it is known as the Lee Highway. For most of its route, US 29 maintains at least four lanes along its route, except where it passes through Manassas National Battlefield Park, where it is two lanes for approximately three miles.

Route description U.S. Route 29 enters Virginia in Danville from North Carolina, immediately splitting

Arlington over the Key Bridge. For much of its route in Northern Virginia, US 29 follows a general east-west direction and parallels Interstate 66, intersecting it many times. In Prince William County, US 29 turns southward

[edit] Exit list guide examples

Main articles: Interstate 40 in North Carolina | Interstate 295 (Delaware-New Jersey)

Features: Uses wikimarkup ''' to boldface exit numbers; all concurrencies are in the notes section; state lines are done using a section break in the table; no colors

Exit numbers are bolded here. However, MPD and NORTH feel a good way to follow this is similar to "Don't fix links to redirects that aren't broken": if an exit list is made and the numbers aren't bolded, that's fine. If you're making a new list, bold is fine, too, but once it's made, no reason to change it.

Also, uses "Exit #" instead of just "#" to make that column a smidge wider as Rob suggested.

Some liberties were taken with Interstate 40, although all the interchanges are real. I changed the exit numbers for mainline 40 to line up with those in Guilford/Orange Counties (depending on which way you're going) for consistency's sake and to get the idea across. The bridge is also ficticious, but I need an example of a toll facility.

This is a joint collaboration between User:Northenglish and User:MPD01605.
